Are you fully licensed/ insured/ bonded?
We are fully licensed, insured, and all BWC premiums are paid. We do NOT hire subcontractors to complete our work on your property (example: other companies may hire a separate stump removal company or separate company with a crane). We own all of the necessary equipment your job may need, and do all of the work ourselves. This helps to keep costs down on both ends! And gives you peace of mind knowing you have a skilled, qualified and protected company working on your real estate.
Insurance Importance – Contractor insurance covers any damages to your property that could potentially happen while work is being performed on your property. If a company is uninsured and an accident happens you are gambling that company will fix it themselves. Your homeowners insurance will NOT cover it. That's a risk you don't want to take.
BWC Importance – Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) protects all employees from workplace injuries and hazards. If a contractor does not have proper coverage on employees and an employee gets injured on your property they can go after you, the property owner, for compensation.

We serve all of Northern Ohio and will travel elsewhere upon reasonable request.

ROW clearing (right of way clearing)
Snow Removal (commercial only – accounts such as Kent State University main campus and The Strip in North Canton)
What kind of equipment does Berens own?
We own all of our own equipment and are not limited to the typical tree-company equipment. We do NOT hire subcontractors to do work on your property. We currently own 3 cranes, a log truck, 5 dump trucks, 4 bucket trucks, 5 skid steer, 3 excavator, 6 chip trucks, 4 chippers, 3 stump grinders, and 22 pickups/flatbed trucks.

Do you offer 24-hour emergency service?
Yes, we do! We know, when dealing with mother nature, emergencies can happen. If you are experiencing a tree-related emergency, please call us at 330-418-8724 and we will discuss how we can help.
How many staff members do you employ?
We currently have 12 full time staff. They are courteous, highly-skilled and care about each other's safety.
